Battery indicator percentage update#

But, these iPhones may soon get the ‘percentage’ indicator with the upcoming iOS 16.1 update. So, the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, and 13 mini do not show battery percentage in the status bar, and Apple does not state why.
Battery indicator percentage pro#
Even after the iOS 16 update, the battery percentage only shows up on a few of the ‘notch’ iPhones including iPhone X, iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max and the new iPhone 14 lineup. Now, somehow, Apple found a way to squeeze in the battery indicator in the status bar with the iOS 16.

Apple said the move was taken because there was not much space left due to the introduction of Face ID. With the launch of the iPhone X in 2017, Apple removed the battery percentage from the status bar and moved it to the control panel, requiring one more step to see how much battery was left. After five long years, the battery percentage returns to iPhones.
